Safford on the Issues
Returning Civility to City Hall
Screaming matches, profanity, and disruption in our place of democracy have become the new normal for our city and it's embarrassing. It is a sad sign when the morale in City Hall is so low that the City Hall Workers’ Union felt compelled to send a letter to our Mayor decrying the hostile workplace existing in our own local government. When elected, our city will get back to work for the people and lead by example. City Hall only works when it is focused on working for the residents of Saratoga Springs.
“I will return civility to City Hall and end the chaos and dysfunction growing in Saratoga Springs’ government.”
Crime in Saratoga Springs
The Kim administration has completely abused, restricted, and weakened our local Law Enforcement. Rather than confronting head-on the pervasive crime wave ravaging our city, Ron Kim has chosen to launch a campaign against our very own Peacekeepers.
When I am elected, Ron Kim’s war on our Men and Women in uniform ends, and we will support our police.
I plan to work with the Department of Public Safety and the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office to return to community-based policing and ensure that our City has the resources it needs for our residents to feel safe and secure in our neighborhood.
“No one else in this race but John has the decisiveness, the temperament, and the momentum to become our next Mayor of Saratoga Springs.”
— Mike Zurlo, Sheriff of Saratoga County
